U.S. EXPORT SALES FOR WEEK ENDING 11/7/2024 

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 335,500 pieces for 2024 were down 6 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for China (242,000 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 13,100 pieces), South Korea (41,000 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 600 pieces), Mexico (27,500 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,600 pieces), Thailand (17,900 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,000 pieces), and Vietnam (3,500 whole cattle hides), were offset by reductions for Italy (400 pieces). Whole cattle hides exports of 386,400 pieces were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (278,900 pieces), Mexico (43,500 pieces), South Korea (32,800 pieces), Thailand (14,000 pieces), and Brazil (8,500 pieces).

Net sales of 88,500 wet blues for 2024 were up 10 percent from the previous week, but down 32 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Vietnam (61,200 unsplit, including decreases of 100 unsplit), China (16,400 unsplit), Taiwan (3,300 unsplit), Italy (2,800 unsplit, including decreases of 1,200 unsplit), and Mexico (2,800 grain splits), were offset by reductions for Thailand (600 unsplit) and Brazil (200 grain splits). Net sales of 20,800 unsplit for 2025 were primarily for China (17,300 unsplit) and Thailand (3,000 unsplit). Exports of 140,900 wet blues were down 6 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (51,800 unsplit), Thailand (27,200 unsplit), China (24,500 unsplit), Brazil (9,200 unsplit and 3,900 grain splits), and Italy (7,000 unsplit). Net sales of 203,800 splits were reported for China (123,000 pounds) and Vietnam (80,800 pounds). Exports of 44,600 splits were to China.
