Export Sales Highlights 

This summary is based on reports from exporters for the period May 2-8, 2025.

 

Wheat: Net sales of 58,600 metric tons (MT) for 2024/2025 were down 16 percent from the previous week, but up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Morocco (30,000 MT), South Korea (27,200 MT), the Dominican Republic (19,800 MT, including 16,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Brazil (15,000 MT), and the Philippines (14,400 MT, including decreases of 4,600 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (62,000 MT) and Thailand (1,400 MT). Net sales of 746,200 MT for 2025/2026 were primarily for unknown destinations (245,000 MT), the Philippines (126,000 MT), Mexico (81,100 MT), Indonesia (70,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (58,400 MT). Exports of 371,400 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (139,400 MT), South Korea (64,300 MT), Mexico (54,600 MT), Thailand (34,600 MT), and Japan (25,100 MT).

 

Corn: Net sales of 1,677,200 MT for 2024/2025 were up 1 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for South Korea (603,300 MT, including 130,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (314,200 MT, including decreases of 32,500 MT), Japan (208,000 MT, including 200,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,500 MT), Colombia (115,000 MT, including decreases of 100,000 MT), and Taiwan (70,700 MT), were offset by reductions for Panama (17,600 MT) and the Philippines (500 MT). Net sales of 508,900 MT for 2025/2026 were reported for Mexico (467,100 MT) and Honduras (41,800 MT). Exports of 1,411,900 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (409,600 MT), Japan (406,600 MT), South Korea (344,300 MT), Guatemala (54,300 MT), and Israel (50,400 MT).

 

Barley: No net sales for 2024/2025 were reported for the week. Exports of 600 MT were to Japan (500 MT) and South Korea (100 MT).


Sorghum: Net sales of 54,300 MT for 2024/2025 were up 64 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Spain (53,000 MT) and Japan (1,300 MT). No exports were reported for the week.

 

Rice: Net sales of 29,900 MT for 2024/2025 were down 49 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (26,500 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Honduras (7,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), Guatemala (7,000 MT, including 8,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,400 MT), Japan (2,900 MT), and Saudi Arabia (1,800 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (15,800 MT) and Haiti (1,800 MT). Exports of 71,900 MT were up 67 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (27,800 MT), Haiti (15,200 MT), Honduras (7,700 MT), Japan (7,200 MT), and Guatemala (7,000 MT).

 

Soybeans: Net sales of 282,400 MT for 2024/2025 were down 25 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Egypt (177,100 MT, including 115,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (83,300 MT, including 57,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,200 MT), Mexico (55,800 MT, including decreases of 4,400 MT), Japan (51,800 MT, including 51,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500 MT), and Algeria (45,000 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (184,100 MT) and Costa Rica (700 MT). Net sales of 490,300 MT for 2025/2026 were reported for Pakistan (345,000 MT) and Mexico (145,300 MT). Exports of 429,900 MT were up 66 percent from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Egypt (127,100 MT), Indonesia (93,500 MT), Mexico (79,300 MT), Japan (67,600 MT), and Costa Rica (15,300 MT).

 

Exports for Own Account: For 2024/2025, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 2,700 MT are for Taiwan (1,700 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).

 

Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 286,700 MT for 2024/2025 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 53 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for unknown destinations (100,000 MT), the Philippines (48,500 MT), Venezuela (38,100 MT, including 24,000 MT switched from Panama), Morocco (30,400 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Mexico (26,100 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were offset by reductions for Panama (24,000 MT) and Belgium (1,300 MT). Net sales of 32,700

MT for 2025/2026 were primarily for Honduras (19,000 MT) and Mexico (10,800 MT). Exports of 260,100 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week, but down 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (54,700 MT), Mexico (38,300 MT), the Dominican Republic (31,600 MT), Morocco (30,400 MT), and Venezuela (26,100 MT).

 

Optional Origin Sales: For 2024/2025, the current outstanding balance of 70,800 MT, all Ecuador.

 

Soybean Oil: Net sales of 13,600 MT for 2024/2025 were down 7 percent from the previous week, but up 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for India (40,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (10,000 MT, including decreases of 11,400 MT), and Mexico (3,500 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (40,000 MT). Total net sales of 500 MT for 2025/2026 were for Canada. Exports of 51,000 MT were up 45 percent from the previous week and 48 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to India (40,000 MT), Guatemala (4,100 MT), Mexico (3,700 MT), Honduras (2,600 MT), and Canada (600 MT).   

Cotton: Net sales of Upland totaling 122,200 RB for 2024/2025 were up 86 percent from the previous week and 2 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Vietnam (95,600 RB, including 100 RB switched from South Korea and decreases of 1,900 RB), Bangladesh (26,200 RB), Indonesia (6,300 RB), Peru (4,900 RB), and India (1,300 RB, switched from Thailand), were offset by reductions for Pakistan (11,900 RB), Turkey (1,100 RB), Thailand (400 RB), and South Korea (100 RB). Net sales of 34,200 RB for 2025/2026 were reported for Honduras (25,400 RB) and Indonesia (8,800 RB). Exports of 329,200 RB were down 17 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (120,800 RB), Pakistan (66,200 RB), Turkey (51,900 RB), Bangladesh (19,600 RB), and Mexico (15,300 RB). Net sales of Pima totaling 5,000 RB for 2024/2025 were down 81 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for India (3,000 RB), Thailand (1,000 RB), Bangladesh (400 RB), Bahrain (200 RB), and Turkey (200 RB). Total net sales of 4,400 RB for 2025/2026 were for Egypt. Exports of 9,600 RB were down 34 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to India (3,000 RB), Peru (2,400 RB), Pakistan (1,700 RB), China (900 RB), and Thailand (600 RB). 

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2024/2025, the current outstanding balance of 8,800 RB, all Pakistan. 

Exports for Own Account:  For 2024/2025, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 13,300 RB were to China (11,100 RB) and Vietnam (2,200 RB). 

Hides and Skins: Net sales of 331,700 pieces for 2025 were up 17 percent from the previous week and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for South Korea (134,000 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,300 pieces), Thailand (86,200 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 400 pieces), Cambodia (41,500 whole cattle hides), Mexico (20,800 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 700 pieces), and Taiwan (13,200 whole cattle hides), were offset by reductions for Turkey (100 pieces). Exports of 246,800 whole cattle hides were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (77,600 pieces), Mexico (58,500 pieces), South Korea (39,600 pieces), Thailand (30,100 pieces), and Brazil (20,900 pieces).

 

Net sales of 27,300 wet blues for 2025 were down 66 percent from the previous week and 75 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for Vietnam (33,800 unsplit), Thailand (31,100 unsplit), and China (100 unsplit), were offset by reductions for Italy (37,700 unsplit). Total net sales of 60,200 wet blues for 2026 were for Italy. Exports of 116,100 wet blues were down 5 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (38,400 unsplit), Italy (36,200 unsplit and 1,500 grain splits), Thailand (20,500 unsplit), China (8,200 unsplit), and Bangladesh (3,200 unsplit). Total net sales of 43,500 splits, including decreases of 38,400 pounds were for Vietnam.  Exports of 47,600 splits were to Vietnam.

 

Beef: Net sales of 14,600 MT for 2025 were up 91 percent from the previous week and 21 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for South Korea (4,500 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Japan (3,400 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Mexico (2,600 MT), Taiwan (1,400 MT), and Canada (1,200 MT). Exports of 13,600 MT were down 10 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea (4,800 MT), Japan (3,900 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), Taiwan (1,300 MT), and Hong Kong (900 MT).

 

Pork: Net sales of 24,600 MT for 2025 were up 2 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for Mexico (10,600 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Japan (3,500 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Canada (2,800 MT), Colombia (2,300 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), and Chile (1,000 MT). Exports of 26,500 MT were up 4 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (12,000 MT), Japan (4,100 MT), South Korea (3,100 MT), Colombia (1,800 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).
