Export Sales Highlights 

This summary is based on reports from exporters for the period April 11-17, 2025.

 

Wheat: Net sales reductions of 145,000 metric tons (MT) for 2024/2025 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Vietnam (75,300 MT, including 66,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Nigeria (37,000 MT), Algeria (19,800 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), El Salvador (14,600 MT), and Guatemala (7,800 MT, including 7,600 MT switched from unknown destinations), were more than offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (158,400 MT), Mexico (75,800 MT), Haiti (35,000 MT), Honduras (19,400 MT), and the Dominican Republic (13,500 MT). Net sales of 371,700 MT for 2025/2026 were primarily for Mexico (112,000 MT), Japan (93,200 MT), unknown destinations (66,700 MT), Haiti (35,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (34,600 MT). Exports of 479,600 MT were down 1 percent from the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (133,600 MT), Mexico (96,400 MT), the Philippines (64,700 MT), Thailand (58,800 MT), and Taiwan (26,200 MT).

 

Corn: Net sales of 1,152,900 MT for 2024/2025 were down 26 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Japan (629,200 MT, including 149,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 3,700 MT), South Korea (140,600 MT, including 134,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (136,400 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 8,100 MT), Portugal (110,000 MT), and Colombia (96,900 MT, including decreases of 1,800 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (256,000 MT) and Saudi Arabia (200 MT). Exports of 1,780,300 MT were down 5 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (560,800 MT), Japan (437,600 MT), South Korea (206,600 MT), Colombia (116,200 MT), and Morocco (75,600 MT).

 

Barley: Total net sales of 100 MT for 2024/2025 were for South Korea. Exports of 200 MT were primarily to South Korea (100 MT).

 

Sorghum: Net sales of 21,400 MT for 2024/2025 were up 86 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Mexico (11,400 MT) and unknown destinations (10,000 MT). Exports of 33,900 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and up 97 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destination was Mexico.

 

Rice: Net sales of 49,000 MT for 2024/2025 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 6 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for unknown destinations (15,800 MT), Honduras (13,300 MT, including 12,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (12,700 MT), Saudi Arabia (3,100 MT), and Jordan (1,400 MT). Exports of 81,000 MT were up 1 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (34,100 MT), Honduras (18,000 MT), Haiti (15,200 MT), Japan (4,200 MT), and Saudi Arabia (2,800 MT).

 

Soybeans: Net sales of 277,000 MT for 2024/2025 were down 50 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (87,800 MT, including decreases of 2,200 MT), the Netherlands (65,800 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), unknown destinations (35,000 MT), Indonesia (26,200 MT, including decreases of 1,100 MT), and Japan (13,100 MT, including 12,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), were offset by reductions for Costa Rica (2,800 MT) and Saudi Arabia (400 MT). Total net sales reductions of 100 MT for 2025/2026 were for Japan. Exports of 495,400 MT were down 31 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Egypt (173,300 MT), China (67,800 MT), the Netherlands (65,800 MT), Mexico (37,600 MT), and Japan (29,300 MT).

 

Exports for Own Account:  For 2024/2025, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 2,600 MT are for Taiwan (1,600 MT), Bangladesh (500 MT), and Malaysia (500 MT).

 

Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 170,900 MT for 2024/2025 were up 17 percent from the previous week, but unchanged from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Vietnam (54,400 MT, including decreases of 1,300 MT), the Philippines (52,800 MT), Ecuador (49,500 MT, including 50,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500 MT), Morocco (48,300 MT, including 33,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Guatemala (32,100 MT, including 8,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,900 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (113,000 MT), Venezuela (6,000 MT), Canada (4,600 MT), Belgium (1,800 MT), and Sri Lanka (600 MT). Total net sales of 5,300 MT for 2025/2026 were for Canada. Exports of 368,000 MT were up 31 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Morocco (58,300 MT), Vietnam (56,200 MT), Ecuador (49,500 MT), the Philippines (49,100 MT), and Colombia (35,400 MT).

 

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2024/2025, new optional sales of 39,000 MT were for Ecuador. The current outstanding balance of 73,200 MT, all Ecuador.

 

Soybean Oil: Net sales of 12,400 MT for 2024/2025 were up 21 percent from the previous week, but down 44 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for India (42,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (4,200 MT), Colombia (3,900 MT, including decreases of 1,200 MT), Jamaica (2,700 MT), and the Dominican Republic (2,000 MT, including decreases of 500 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (42,000 MT) and Canada (300 MT). Exports of 45,500 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and up 45 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to India (42,000 MT), Mexico (2,900 MT), and Canada (500 MT).

 

Cotton: Net sales of Upland totaling 104,000 RB for 2024/2025 were down 49 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Vietnam (34,400 RB, including 2,000 RB switched from China, 1,800 RB switched from Hong Kong, 100 RB switched from South Korea, and decreases of 300 RB), India (22,500 RB), Pakistan (16,500 RB), Turkey (15,400 RB), and Bangladesh (6,700 RB, including decreases of 200 RB), were offset by reductions for China (5,300 RB), Hong Kong (1,900 RB), South Korea (200 RB), and  Mexico (100 RB). Net sales of 38,000 RB for 2025/2026 were primarily for Indonesia (13,200 RB), Peru (9,700 RB), Honduras (9,300 RB), Vietnam (4,200 RB), and Nicaragua (1,500 RB). Exports of 292,200 RB were down 11 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (92,200 RB), Pakistan (59,300 RB), Turkey (55,200 RB), Bangladesh (23,900 RB), and Peru (11,700 RB). Net sales of Pima totaling 5,800 RB for 2024/2025 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 31 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Pakistan (1,300 RB), India (1,300 RB), Peru (700 RB), Turkey (700 RB), and Vietnam (600 RB), were offset by reductions for Hong Kong (300 RB). Exports of 14,400 RB were up noticeably from the previous week and up 41 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to India (7,400 RB), Peru (2,800 RB), Vietnam (1,900 RB), Bangladesh (900 RB), and Turkey (300 RB).

 

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2024/2025, the current outstanding balance of 8,800 RB, all Pakistan.

 

Exports for Own Account:  For 2024/2025, new exports for own account totaling 200 RB were to Vietnam. Decreases of 5,200 RB were for China. The current exports for own account outstanding balance of 13,300 RB were to China (11,100 RB) and Vietnam (2,200 RB).

 

Hides and Skins: Net sales of 184,600 pieces for 2025 were down 28 percent from the previous week and 40 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for Mexico (56,400 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,300 pieces), Brazil (39,300 whole cattle hides), Italy (29,000 whole cattle hides), South Korea (27,900 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,200 pieces), and China (15,200 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 13,600 pieces). In addition, net sales reductions of 1,400 kip skins were primarily for Belgium (1,300 kip skins). Exports of 170,500 whole cattle hides were down 46 percent from the previous week and 48 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (50,600 pieces), Mexico (38,700 pieces), Thailand (28,300 pieces), South Korea (23,300 pieces), and Taiwan (11,500 pieces). Exports of 1,800 calf skins were to Italy. Exports of 1,300 kip skins were to Japan.

 

Net sales of 222,500 wet blues for 2025 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 68 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for Italy (101,200 unsplit), Vietnam (60,600 unsplit), and Thailand (58,400 unsplit). Exports of 94,800 wet blues were down 33 percent from the previous week and 32 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (34,700 unsplit), Thailand (26,700 unsplit), Italy (17,000 unsplit), Taiwan (11,200 unsplit), and China (2,800 unsplit). Total net sales reductions of splits were for Vietnam. Exports of 2,900 splits were for Vietnam.

 

Beef: Net sales of 10,300 MT for 2025 were down 41 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were primarily for South Korea (3,200 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), Japan (1,900 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Hong Kong (1,300 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Canada (1,300 MT), and Taiwan (1,100 MT, including decreases of 200 MT). Exports of 13,200 MT were down 10 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea (4,900 MT), Japan (3,400 MT), Taiwan (1,200 MT), Mexico (1,000 MT), and Canada (900 MT).

 

Pork: Net sales of 5,800 MT for 2025--a marketing-year low--were down 72 percent from the previous week and 82 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Japan (6,300 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Mexico (3,800 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), South Korea (1,800 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Colombia (1,600 MT), and Canada (1,200 MT), were offset by reductions for China (12,000 MT) and Denmark (100 MT). Exports of 27,100 MT were down 12 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (10,200 MT), South Korea (4,700 MT), Japan (4,600 MT), Colombia (1,900 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).
