Hides and Skins: Net sales of 274,000 pieces for 2026 marketing year, which began January 1, primarily for China (198,900 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 18,400 pieces), Thailand (35,800 whole cattle hides), South Korea (19,700 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 100 pieces), Mexico (9,600 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,000 pieces), and Indonesia (5,000 whole cattle hides). Net sales reductions of 45,000 pieces brought a total of 1,174,200 pieces in sales that were carried over from the 2025 marketing year, which ended December 31. Exports for the period ending December 31 of 189,600 pieces brought accumulated exports to 17,162,000 pieces, down 15 percent from the prior year’s total of 19,785,300 pieces. The destinations were primarily to China (145,300 pieces), Mexico (15,200 pieces), South Korea (8,600 pieces), Brazil (7,800 pieces), and Taiwan (4,000 pieces). Exports for January 1 of 58,900 pieces were primarily to China (34,900 pieces), South Korea (12,600 pieces), Brazil (3,700 pieces), Thailand (3,100 pieces), and Mexico (3,000 pieces).  Net sales of 38,800 wet blues for 2026 marketing year, which began January 1, primarily for Italy (17,600 unsplit), Mexico (12,800 grain splits), China (5,700 unsplit), Vietnam (2,600 unsplit), and Brazil (1,200 unsplit), were offset by reductions for Hong Kong (2,400 unsplit).

Net sales of 2,200 unsplit brought a total of 1,154,200 wet blues in sales that were carried over from the 2025 marketing year, which ended December 31. Exports for the period ending December 31 of 103,600 wet blues brought accumulated exports to 6,616,400 wet blues, down 9 percent from the prior year’s total of 7,244,100 wet blues. The destinations were primarily to Vietnam (32,000 unsplit), Italy (26,200 unsplit), China (12,900 unsplit and 3,200 grain splits), Hong Kong (11,900 unsplit), and Thailand (11,800 unsplit). Exports for January 1 of 6,800 wet blues were to Italy (4,000 unsplit) and Mexico (2,800 grain splits). No net sales of other excluding wet blues for 2026 marketing year were reported. Accumulated exports of other excluding wet blues in 2025 totaled 205,500 pounds. No exports of other excluding wet blues for January 1 were reported. Net sales of 502,700 splits for 2026 marketing year were reported for China (254,700 pounds) and Vietnam (248,000 pounds). Accumulated exports of splits in 2025 totaled 2,403,600 pounds, down 66 percent from the prior year’s total of 3,991,700 pounds. No exports of splits for January 1 were reported.
