USDA ACCEPTS DEIP BIDS FOR BUTTER TO AFRICA AND MIDDLE EAST

WASHINGTON, June 30, 2009 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Commodity Credit Corporation today accepted four bids from two exporters under the Dairy Export Incentive Program for butter to Africa and Middle East.

The awards totaled 256 metric tons of butter.

Delivery period: July 1 - Sept. 30, 2009
Average bonus: $850.00 per metric ton
Remaining balance under Invitation GSM-511-A-59: 8,138 metric tons butter equivalent
Remaining balance under the June 22, 2009 pre-announced bonus: 3,138 metric tons butter equivalent
